ShareMaster Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of ShareMaster, including the iOS app and any related versions we make available for Android, macOS, Windows, or other platforms.
Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using ShareMaster, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What ShareMaster Does
ShareMaster is a local file transfer tool. It helps nearby devices on the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot discover each other and transfer selected files directly between devices.
ShareMaster is not a social network, public hosting service, cloud storage service, messaging platform, or content moderation service. We do not operate a public feed or provide public file publishing features.
2. Local Transfers
ShareMaster is designed for local peer-to-peer transfers. Files are transferred directly between devices when possible.
You are responsible for:
- Choosing the files you send.
- Confirming the device you send files to.
- Accepting or declining incoming transfers.
- Making sure you have the right to transfer the files.
- Saving, opening, sharing, or deleting received files after transfer.
ShareMaster does not guarantee that every transfer will succeed. Local transfer reliability may depend on the device, operating system, network quality, hotspot behavior, router settings, local network permissions, battery state, storage space, and whether both apps remain open during transfer.
3. Your Content and Responsibilities
You keep ownership of the files you send or receive through ShareMaster.
You agree not to use ShareMaster to transfer files that:
- You do not have the right to copy, send, or receive.
- Violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
- Are illegal, harmful, abusive, or intended to harm another person, device, network, or service.
- Contain malware, spyware, ransomware, or other malicious code.
Because ShareMaster is a local transfer tool, we do not review, moderate, scan, or approve the content of your transferred files.
4. Accounts
Some ShareMaster features may require an account, including purchase sync, lifetime access verification, active-device management, and cross-platform access.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You should not share your account with other people or allow others to use your account to bypass access limits.

5. Trial Access
ShareMaster may offer a free trial.
The current trial model is:
- 3-day free trial.
- Trial access may be available without signing in.
- Signed-in trial use may be limited to 3 active devices.
- Anonymous trial use may only count the current app install.
We may change trial availability, duration, eligibility, or device limits for future versions, subject to applicable law and App Store rules.
6. Purchases and Lifetime Access
ShareMaster may offer a one-time lifetime access purchase.
Lifetime access means access to the paid ShareMaster features that are available for your account under the purchase model offered at the time of purchase. It does not mean that every future feature, external service, third-party integration, or unrelated product will be included.
Lifetime access may require:
- A valid platform purchase, such as an Apple App Store purchase.
- A ShareMaster account.
- Backend purchase verification.
- Active-device verification.
- Compliance with these Terms.
7. Cross-Platform Access
Our goal is to let users buy once and use ShareMaster across supported platforms by signing into the same ShareMaster account.
Cross-platform access depends on account sync, purchase verification, platform store rules, backend availability, and supported app versions. A purchase made on one platform may need to be synced to your ShareMaster account before it unlocks other supported platforms.
8. Device Limits
ShareMaster may limit the number of active devices that can use one account.
The current model is:
- Free trial: up to 3 active devices for signed-in trial users.
- Lifetime access: up to 5 active devices.
You may be required to remove an old device before activating a new one. We may also limit device replacement frequency to reduce abuse.
You agree not to share one account across unrelated users or large groups to bypass purchase, trial, or device limits.
9. Restores and Purchase Claims
ShareMaster may use purchase identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase tokens, account identifiers, and device identifiers to verify that a purchase belongs to the signed-in account.
If a purchase is already linked to one ShareMaster account, we may reject attempts to link the same purchase to another account. This helps prevent abuse of restore and cross-platform access features.

10. Privacy
Your use of ShareMaster is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy should explain what data we collect, such as account email, device identifiers, purchase status, active-device records, diagnostics, and any data needed for authentication, purchase verification, support, and app functionality.
11. App Store and Platform Terms
If you download ShareMaster from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless we provide a custom EULA.
If you download ShareMaster from another platform or store, that platform's terms may also apply.
12. Third-Party Services
ShareMaster may use third-party services for authentication, backend sync, purchase verification, crash reporting, analytics, or other app functionality.
Examples may include Firebase, Apple App Store services, Google services, or platform-specific services.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
13. No Warranty
ShareMaster is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or network, or able to transfer every file successfully.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of files, loss of data, loss of profits, device problems, network problems, failed transfers, or inability to use the app.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to ShareMaster features if you violate these Terms, abuse trial or purchase systems, attempt to bypass device limits, misuse the app, or use the app in a way that harms other users, devices, networks, or services.
You may stop using ShareMaster at any time. You may also request account deletion where supported.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice inside the app, on our website, or through another reasonable method.
Your continued use of ShareMaster after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
